Company
Primiro allows readers, viewers, and listeners of printed and broadcasted media the ability to request, store, and share
articles, brochures, and multi-media information by sending a SMS text message via their mobile phone. Publishers and
broadcasters use Primiro to reach consumers who express interest in information that they read in print, see on TV, or
hear on the radio.
Problem
Print and broadcast companies are looking for solutions to compete with pure on-line web content. Finding new ways to
attract and connect with readers and audiences is critical to publishers’ and broadcasters’ long-term viability. While TV
networks, magazines and newspapers have a presence online, much of the Internet media is controlled by companies such
as Google and Yahoo that take most of the online advertising dollars.
People can easily save, organize, and share information that they find on the Internet. But when they read newspapers,
watch TV, or listen to the radio, they have no easy way to request additional information or share it with others.
Solution
Primiro allows readers and viewers of printed and broadcasted media the ability to instantly request and share a digital
copy of an article, a product brochure, or a video to be delivered to their online library or email address by sending an
SMS text message from their mobile phones. The mobile phone acts as an instantaneous, on-demand interface between
the media source and the Internet. A reader can now “click” on a “Primiro link” in a printed magazine with his or her
mobile phone.
Primiro gives publishers and broadcasters a high precision advertising tool that offers a cost-effective way to reach
customers who have expressed interest in the product not by merely clicking on an online ad but by sending an SMS. The
reader requests information by sending a code that is printed next to the media source (for radio or TV, the code can be
spoken.) This code is a unique identifier for the specific article or media source. When a code is sent via SMS, the related
material is sent to the e-mail address specified by the reader and their personalized Primiro library.
Primiro is software as a service “SaaS” solution.
